MDM Observatory is located on Kitt Peak, home to numerous optical and radio observatories.  The mountain is situated in a remote, rugged corner of the Sonoran desert.  Wildfires and other emergency situations can arise at any time, particularly in late Spring/early Summer months.  Below are links to AURA/NOAO documentation that can help you be better prepared in case of wildfire/emergency.  And of course, if you are on-site, you should also have the MDM Site Manager’s mobile number already.
